Minutes from the October 4th, 2004 meeting were approved.

Director’s report:
Students are getting ready for the Messiah. Practices are going great. There are 40 kids in Chamber that meet Monday-Thursday from 2:45 – 3:30. Jen the choreographer is working with the kids tonight, finishing the closer. Auditions for the winter play are November 16th.
Colleen is finished with the musical Gypsy and many THANKS to the parents that helped with the musical, silent auction, and concessions. A first for North – the Musical will be the main stage show at the Thespian State Wide Conference Nov. 13th, (4 hours to set up stage). A letter explaining about OPUS will be sent November 9th.
Information on resolution for Colleen’s supplemental pay was discussed. Teri Pauline received a phone call from the school board stating all avenues should be exhausted before coming to the school board (politically correct way). Dave Peel and Teri Pauline will talk to Mrs. Petty (Principle at North , extremely supportive of the program) first, then Ethel Reynolds (North Administrator), and then the Super Attendant of Schools, to try and resolve the supplemental pay for Colleen prior to going to the school board. If action still can not be resolved, the North boosters will then coordinate actions with Central and West Boosters to present our protest to the School Board. The Booster group will advocate keeping the program going. Discussion was held about setting up rehearsal time for Center Stage (a director has to be in attendance for rehearsal). Ryan agreed to Center Stage rehearsal dates of November 16 and November 23, from 6-9 p.m. or until Colleens supplemental pay is resolved.

Concert Uniforms:
The Acapella dress has been discontinued. One girl missing dress but a similar one was found. The tie and cumber bun need to be marked due to the boys losing them.

A picture directory of all the show choir students in the program will be sold at parent night. Student buttons will be sold to wear at invitational.
Silent Auction: Teri and Greg Pauline were the Co-chairs for the Silent Auction. A huge special THANKS goes to them and the volunteers for all their time and effort to make the Silent Auction a success. A total of 649 items sold and the students received approximately $7000.00. Sixty (60) families donated items. One (1) student received $1000.00 in profit. Ten (10) students received $200.00 in profit. Twenty-two (22) students received $100.00 in profit. Within the next few days the Pauline’s will have the account information and will provide it to Vicki Alderson to post to the students assessments.
Other business: The booster members need to look at what students who do not have 75 % of their assessment fees paid by October 2004. The Silent Auction profit may help some of the students that are behind. Center Stage has 18 students and North Side has 9 students that have not met the 75 % assessment fees paid. There was discussion about implementing the scholarship fund earlier in the year to help some of the kids. Colleen felt the scholarship money should be issued in the Spring due to various fund raising activities available to the students through the year.
Next meeting will be held November 30th, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was adjourned at 8:16 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
