Meeting
called to order at 7:06 p.m. with 36 in attendance.
First
order on the agenda: CONGRATULATIONS
TO RYAN AND MARY BETH!!!!
Minutes

Treasurer
Report was given: We have sold
approximately $5000 worth of books for the Entertainment Book fundraiser, which
is still in progress. We will have
to pay for all books sold and then will be sent our check for profit based on
total books sold. We have sent
entry fees for two of the competitions for this year. It was noted that we have received less than half of the
first installments of assessment fees. Treasurer’s
report was approved.
Discussion
was held regarding the need to form a committee to help with the collection of
past due assessment fees. Approximately
$7000 is still due from last year’s assessment fees. Letters were sent out last Monday requesting payments and
approximately 50% has been collected thus far.
Final rosters for this year are now established and payments will be
posted soon in the music room. It
was noted that there is a small amount of grant money available for students who
qualify for the need.
Director’s
report was given: Riewerts informed
the Boosters about having a large Freshmen class this year and that the upcoming
Musical is going well and has a cast of over 60 students.
He also noted the need for an Auditorium Administrator for North High,
but that there are no funds available at this time.
Schloemer
noted that the Opus auditions will be submitted Oct. 17th, 2002 and
that the students need to be turning in their contracts and health information.
She informed the Boosters that the majority of the students will be
carpooling to Bettendorf on Oct. 14th, 2002 for the Metro Fest and
the evening concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.
She also requested the need for a parent to help with awards and plaques.
A
proposed Board Resolution for approving the acquisition and usage of a credit
card for the vocal music directors was read by Vicki Alderson. The
Vocal Boosters Board will hold a brief meeting later for further discussion.

The
