The words “Thank You” just aren’t enough to convey how grateful everyone is for all of the volunteers, adults and students, who put in so many hours to make The Big Dance a success. We were challenged by using two venues this year with the Auditorium and the Gym. We had more showchoirs, more judges, more concessions, more decorations, just more of everything and it all came together!

A very special thank you goes out to Bart Hall for chairing this year as an “alumni” parent! We hope this event will continue to grow and improve. The Big Dance is one of the best run invitationals in the Midwest.

As we continue with the two performance areas we will need even more volunteers next year so that everything will run smoothly. If you did not have the opportunity to volunteer this year, please do so next year! Everyone is needed and it is such a positive event for our school and students.

Big Dance Wrap-up meeting will be March 19th at 7:00 PM in the choir room.

Musical Auditions

Auditions for the spring musical, “Pirates of the Penzance”, will be held March 18th and 19th from 3:15 – 6:00 PM in the Auditorium.

Callbacks will be March 20th. Please prepare the musical selection that has been placed outside the vocal music room. This will be a large cast so don’t be bashful about trying out!

Rehearsals begin April 8th with the first read-through from 8 – 9:00 PM. There will be required Saturday rehearsals on April 20th and 27th. Time will be announced.

Musical performance dates are May 15th through the 18th. Student night is Wednesday, May 15th.

Construction

Construction help will be needed for the musical. Work will probably begin the week of April 16th. Details will follow. Thanks to those who helped with the changing room doors for show choir and the judge’s platform for the auditorium. We hope you will offer to help with the musical set!
